Introduction
Hello, I AM, Nia Buckner! SN – I learned to introduce myself this way my freshman year of college at North Carolina State University & it just stuck… “I AM”.
After embarking on a spiritual journey at the end of 2019 that led me straight into a pandemic – like many— I was forced to face my current state of life… I no longer had a daily commute and dance mom duties; travel was down drastically so my 9 to 5 wasn’t as demanding; and I found myself with more time than I knew what to do with! After I got bored binge watching all the shows recommended by friends I stumbled across some YouTubers that inspired me to:
1) Learn about investing in stocks and crypto.
2) Write down, plan and begin execution of my personal goals to become an entrepreneur.
3) Own my 24 hours.
Who are we?
Established in 2021 amidst a global pandemic, LS Universal Travel Co. is a family operated travel services company specializing in luxury, wellness, and business travel. We are a full-service travel booking agency; with travel professionals trained and experienced to plan memorable land and cruise experiences. Travel advisors will also handle the booking process directly with suppliers on behalf of traveling individuals and groups (residing in the United States only).
Our goal is to ease the travel planning process and provide affordable solutions through our simple 3-step “quote – pay – go” process! Clients can rely on professionalism, promptness, and current travel industry expertise to find the best deals on the hotel, destination, tours and excursions to meet client interests, budget, and timeframe.
My Story
I was raised by a strong black woman. My mom worked two jobs to make sure I had all that I needed. She began to take me on trips as a young girl… we’d always have an annual family vacation somewhere. As I got older, she’d send me on flights and week long getaways with my church. One of my most vivid memories traveling with her as a child was our trip to Los Angeles, California. It was 1996 and the movie Set It off was released while I was in California and I remember going to see it in LA. I remember visiting celebrity homes such as Cruella de Vil. I also remember short road trips to Kings Dominion, Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, and Virginia Beach… something we still do to this day!
Fast forward… I now have my own daughter (teenager) to practice these same travel traditions and create lasting memories with. Ironically, my office assistant job led me to an exciting career in travel and I’ve spent nearly two decades in corporate travel management helping Federal agencies automate and navigate complex travel systems and procedures to fulfill their mission. In August 2021, it was an easy decision when I found THE opportunity to turn my passion and skills into a business dedicated to helping some navigate the complexities of travel operations management; and to help others focus on creating their own memories that will last forever.

My mission statement: To be a breath of fresh air to those that need plan a trip but do not know where to start.
